Ann Sabik Obituary

ANN SABIK Hammond, Indiana Ann Sabik, age 89, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Adriane (Joe) Grubish of Dyer, IN; son, Adolph M (Dana) Sabik of Crown Point, IN; four grandchildren, Marcy (Mike) Fortner of Dyer, IN, Joseph (Clara) Grubish of Griffith, IN, John (Mariecris) Sabik of Crown Point, IN and Geoffrey Sabik of Texas; nine great grandchildren, Megan, Alyssa, Caitlin, Amber, Joshua, Ariel, Justus, Jasmine, and Janine; one brother, Raymond Skamay; many nieces and nephews; and beloved caregiver and friends, Helen Kudlawiec, Flossie and Daria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; infant brother, John; brother, Mitchell Skamay; and sister, Helen Skafish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7132 Arizona, Hammond, IN. with Rev. Charles Mosley officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Virgil Huber Funeral Home, 7051 Kennedy Ave., Hammond, Indiana. There will be a Prayer Service at 5:00 P.M. on Monday evening. Ann graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt and from the Chicago School of Dental Assistants. She was a wonderful homemaker and gourmet cook. The family wishes to give special thanks to Harbor Light Hospice and to Dr. Russell Miller. Memorials in Ann's name may be given to Harbor Light Hospice. Ann will be sadly missed by her entire family.
