Timothy Ditter Obituary

Timothy Daniel Ditter, age 20, of Jericho, died on December 29, 2011 at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born January 11, 1991 in Fond du Lac, son of Paul & Ginny (Buechel) Ditter. Tim loved life and lived it to the fullest. He participated in Special Olympics since he was 8 years old, and was a 2011 graduate of Chilton High School where he was a member of the Golf Team and participated in School Plays. His thirst for adventure spread elsewhere in his life; on a couple of occasions, Tim was 'Freezin' for a Reason' during the yearly Polar Plunge in Lake Winnebago. He enjoyed watching and playing football; to put it mildly, Tim was an avid, AVID, Green Bay Packers fan. He proudly served as the Fox Cities Down Syndrome Awareness Walk Ambassador for 2011. Tim was a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho and was a current member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marytown where he frequently served at Mass. He volunteered at community events, school, the Salvatorian Center in New Holstein, and Catholic Financial, of which he was a member. Tim was perpetually optimistic and happy. His charming personality drew people to him and they were instantly recognized by Tim as a friend. Tim was a persistent individual whose competitive nature, and vibrant work ethic came in handy while working for New Hope in Chilton, Briess Industries, Save-A-Lot, and his Public Relations Position which he held at Ditter Processing. Tim also loved to garden, hunt and fish with his family, dance, and show others by his actions what love really is. He made sure that those around him felt included in his life and that the only personality traits that mattered were the good ones. Survivors include his parents: Paul & Ginny; his maternal grandfather: Leander Buechel; his siblings: Amy (Curtis) Childs of Madison, Kevin (Gwyn) Ditter of Malone, Lisa (Kyle) Krusick of Fond du Lac, Sara (John) Austin of Cincinnati, OH, Melissa Ditter of Chilton and her Special Friend, Joe, Bethany Ditter of Chilton and her Special Friend, Ryan. Tim treasured spending time with his nieces and nephews; 2 nephews who were his Godchildren: Americo Childs and Ragen Ditter; along with his other nieces and nephews: Callyssa, & Freema Childs, Mitchell, Mackenzie & Noah Ditter, Kaden, Kale & Savaeha Krusick, and William Austin. Tim is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Tim was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Margaret Buechel; his paternal grandparents: Raymond & Frances Ditter; 2 aunts: Theresa Ditter, Dorrie Ford; and a cousin: Scott Ford. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 2, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marytown with the Rev. Joe Coerber officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Jericho. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 1, 2012 and on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A vigil service will be held Sunday evening at the funeral home at 8:00 PM, and the Rosary will be prayed at 10:40 AM Monday morning at church. Tim, your life, and the love that filled it has truly been an inspiration to all of us. The lessons we learned from you are of more worth than any silver or gold. We thank God for your presence in our lives, and give thanks for the blessing that you have been to us.
