Bergemann, Robert E. (Bob)

Robert E. (Bob) Bergemann, 85, of Menasha, passed away at the ThedaCare Hospice Residence in Appleton, Wisconsin, Jan. 22, 2013 after a 2 year battle against advanced prostate cancer.

Bob was born March 1, 1927 in Black Creek, the son of Edward and Mayme (Welch) Bergemann. He married Ordell Pagel on October 21, 1950 and later married Helen Simonson on November 15, 1975.

Bob was an over the road truck driver for Beaver Transport and later for Consolidated Freightways, retiring in 1986. After retiring, he and his wife, Helen, spent the next 24 years in Phoenix, AZ before returning to Wisconsin in 2010.

He is survived by his wife Helen of Menasha; son Michael (Debra) Bergemann of Markesan; daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Nebl of Ripon; step daughter Rosemary (Warren) Abraham of Aurora, CO; step son Duane (Evelyn) Simonson of Pittsville; step son Michael (Diane) Simonson of Holmen; step son Eldon (Karen) Simonson of Kodiak, AK; step son Allan (Carolyn) Simonson of Humbird; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Virgil Wolfgram of Neenah.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward Bergemann, and sister Joan Wolfgram.

At Bob's request there will be no services.

I always enjoyed seeing Uncle Bob..I remember times while visiting at their home in Beaver Dam that he would let us kids ride in the big rig with him to Beaver Transport..then bring us back in his Chrysler Imperial....Ahh the good old days....RIP Bob
