HOWARD E., SR.
Of Wall Twp., New Jersey, died Friday, February 22, 2002, at his home. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Flood resided in Ridgewood, N.J. for 20 years before moving to the Manasquan and Sea Girt area in 1985. He resided at the Four Seasons community in Wall Twp.; husband of Diane Nelson Flood for 51 years; father of Howard E. Flood, Jr. of Neptune, N.J., Lynda F. Grannick of Yardley, PA., Susan F. Blinn of Ridgewood, N.J.; brother of Henry C. Flood, Jr., Marjorie A. Flood, both of Pittsburgh, and the late Louise Egan-Steele; grandfather of Gregory, Courtney & Eric Blinn, Joshua, Benjamin & Emily Grannick, and the late Timothy Blinn; also many nieces and nephews. Mr. Flood received his Under Graduate Degree in 1952 and his Masters's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Flood was the Direct Marketing Manager for McGraw-Hill Publishing & Book Company, Hightstown, N.J. He retired after 30 years of service. He was the first non-European Board Member of the European Direct Marketing Assoc. He was a parishioner of St. Denis Catholic Church, Manasquan, N.J. The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 pm at the NEARY-QUINN FUNERAL HOME, 39 South St. Manasquan, N.J. 08736. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 9:30 am, at St. Denis Catholic Church, Union Ave, Manasquan, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center 7701 Burholme Ave, Philadelphia, PA. 19111.
