My heart was broken to see the passing of Elizabeth. As one of her nursing instructors, I always loved Liz's optimism. She was a joy to have as a student. I was delighted when St. Francis Alumni accepted my nomination of Liz as one of it's outstanding alumni. It was then she told me of her diagnosis. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. She will always be in our prayer.

To all of Liz's Family,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at Liz's passing. We were out of town in Gettysburg and crushed by the news of her untimely death.

I've known Liz since the early 1980's, while working as a paramedic and president of Wilkins-Churchill Rescue One.

She was a devoted wife and mother and was always a lady. Her patient care was impeccable and her ability to educate others was well known.

I know that Liz had a very strong constitution and an ability to rebound from adversity and tragedy in her life. I will always remember her vibrant and infectious personality and her ability to put people at ease.

Rest in peace, my friend!

As a young EMT at Wilkins-Churchill Rescue One, Liz and Patrick were extraordinary friends and mentors to me as well as to so many others. I consider myself honored and blessed to have known Liz and her family. She lived life to the fullest and made each day better for so many people. She is a true angel who will never be forgotten.

God bless you and rest in peace Liz.

I was very saddened to read of Liz's passing. I am also a graduate of St Francis (class of 1979) and so remember Liz in nursing school as well as working with Liz in the old SICU on the 8th floor. What a great nurse she was just right out of school. I knew she would go far in her career. Thoughts and prayers are with the family during this most difficult time.

To the Family and Friends of our dear friend Liz,

Liz was professional, friend, and colleague to so many of us. She did the most incredible job of any thing she believed her heart. She inspired and mentors so many in her shortened career. She made a difference in everything she worked so hard on in her life.

My sympathies and prayers to Liz's children and families. I knew Liz back when she and Pat volunteered at Wilkins Churchill Ambulance. What a great person, always so enthusiastic, friendly and what energy! She did so much for Emergency Medicine and I know she will be missed by many. God Bless you. Jim and Sue Dickson.

To the Hodgson, Wertz and Evans Families,

I was very saddened to hear of my Cousin Liz's passing. I heard she fought a tough and long battle, however I am sure she did it with a positive attitude and smile on her face. I am sorry I am unable to be there during this time, but please know that you are all in my thoughts as you try to get thru this difficult time. Hold you heads high and keep the same positive attitude Liz had. To her children.......Your mother will always be with you, every where you go, every minute, every hour, every day, just as my mother is with me.

I send my love to all of you.....

Knowing Liz professionally was the same as knowing her personally. She lit up every room with her infectious laughter, her joy for life, and her devotion to her family and friends. Serving alongside her on the MGMA ACMPE Board was such a pleasure. Her keen insight into healthcare, her strategic sensibility, and her unfailing integrity made her the perfect Board member and perfect friend.

Her compassion as a nurse and then as a healthcare administrator set her apart from the crowd. In fact, I doubt if she could ever be considered part of a "crowd." She was such a remarkable woman. We all thank her family for sharing her so she could enrich our lives as she did theirs. Our prayers remain with you.

Liz was a warm, funny and dedicated person to her craft and to her friends. She helped me through my bout with breast cancer and gave me strength by her fight. She lost her fight, but she was a warrior for the cause and because of her, others may be cured. I will truly miss her. She was taken way too early. God must have a special consultation he needs up there for him to call her home. She is in a better place, no more pain no more fighting.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Liz. We grew up together on Elmwood Dr and also graduated the same year from Shaler. My birthday and Liz's birthday were just (2) days apart. I have fond memories of the Hodgson Family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

God Bless,
