SCHUMANN RAYMOND F. "RAY"
Raymond F. "Ray" Schumann, 86 of Hopewell Township., formerly of North Side, died on May 14, 2011 in Good Samaritan Hospice. He was born on April 24, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late John and Elizabeth Schumann. He worked as a millwright for Miller Printing Equipment Company. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy. He was an elder of the former McClure Ave. Presbyterin Church in North Side and he attended Ohio United Presbyterian Church in Hopewell Township lately. He was a lifelong Steeler Fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 ½ years, Anna "Dolly" Schumann, Hopewell Township.; a son and daughter - in - law: John R. "Jack" and Colleen Schumann, Huntington, NY; and a daughter and son - in - law: Diane and Paul Passantino, Hopewell Township.; and two granddaughters: Caitlin and Megan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Jack and Joseph Schumann, and his sister Mary Hackett. Friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 8 in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE OF ALIQUIPPA, 2345 Mill Street www.huntsmanfuneralhomes.com where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Powell officiating. The members of the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: McClure Ave Presbyterian Church 45 N. Fremont Ave. Pittsburgh 15202; Ohio United Presbyterian Church 1236 Longvue Ave. Aliquippa 15001; or Good Samaritan Hospice 146 Neely School Rd. Wexford, 15090.

God Bless Ray and his family. I grew up two houses away on the North Side - Smithton and Grand Aves. All great memories playing on the front porch of the big yellow house on "Grandy" wow, more than 50 years.
Dolly always had cold drinks for all "us kids".
