JOHN EVANCHO Obituary
JOHN
Age 86, of Murrysville, formerly of Monroeville, on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Ilona (Cipa) Evancho; loving father of Deacon John (Laura) Evancho of Peoria, IL and Mary Ellen Evancho of Middletown, CT; wonderful grandfather of Ruthie, Julia, and Sophie; brother of Anna Zelenak, Sophie Evancho, William "Chase" Evancho, and Michael Evancho; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank his special friends, Steve, Sue, Mandy, and Katie Gvozden and supportive friends, the Borelle family. John was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection and a lifetime member of the Greek Catholic Union. Friends will be received Friday 2-3:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), corner of (445) Beatty Rd. and 48 North, Monroeville, (412-856-4747). A Memorial/Panachida Service will be held Friday, 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection. We would like to thank the Woodhaven Nursing Home Staff and the Granes Hospice for the wonderful care of our father. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Resurrection, 455 Center Rd., Monroeville, PA 15146.
