SHIRLEY TOUILLON Obituary
On Tuesday, October 15, 2013, of New York City, formerly of South Side. Wife of Jean-Louis Touillon; beloved sister of Mike (Sonny) Dolinski; loving sister-in-law of Connie Dolinski; daughter of the late Mike (Dee) and Eustenie (Kaczorowski) Dolinski; also survived by three nieces and three great-nephews. Friends received at the JOHN J. GMITER FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 119 S. 15th St., South Side, on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. with Parastas at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. If desired, family suggests contributions to Gilchrist Hospice Care Fund at 1311 McCormick Rd., Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21033 or GilchristHospice.org.

Sweet, dear, kind, caring, generous-to-a-fault Shirl … My very best “Phone Friend” … Best day was when Chrissy introduced us because she said she worked with a woman who was ‘wonderful, wild and wacky' and very nice to her. You were my phone therapist, rock buddy, missing-our-Moms-together buddy … just the best person. We trusted each other with our deepest thoughts … broke my heart the day you told me you were sick. I am so sorry you never made it home to your house and your bed … but I thank God you're now with your Mom in heaven. I'll never forget the afternoon of your GARDEN PARTY with friends, Jean-Louis, and us … It was so nice to spend the afternoon chatting face to face.
As your Mom's Mass card said …

shirl was my wife i missed her so much...love you yes it was a bumpy road ...before she passed she wore a patch on her jacket saying:what a long strange trip it's been.....that's true for both of us!but what a trip!love you,god bless your wonderful family.Jean-Louis

Shirley was a very special person. our friendship goes back to high school. we had so many great times and I also visited her in new York. she was always a positive person who was so much fun.
