Irene Pasternak Obituary

Irene T. (Waitkavicz) Pasternak
of Binghamton
Irene T. (Waitkavicz) Pasternak, 81, of Binghamton, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2005, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Josephine Rosinski; brothers, Dr. Leo Rosinski and John Rosinski; a sister, Mary Buckler; and a son-in-law, John (Jack) Babcock. Irene is survived by her beloved daughter, Cheryl A. Babcock; a devoted son, Peter P. Waitkavicz; a granddaughter, Ariana M. Waitkavicz; and a brother, Zigmond Rosinski; also several nephews and nieces. Irene was a member of St. Anthony Episcopal Church, Vestal, New York, a retired employee of Singer Link Corp., Binghamton, after ten years of service. A member of Local Group Service Club, AARP, Civic Association, United States Power Squadron and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 1645, Binghamton, New York.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2005, at the Laskowski Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Seel officiating. The family will receive friends at the Laskowski Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. It is the request of the family that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Irene's name may be made to the Salvation Army, Griswold St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13904.
