James VanPelt Obituary

James D. VanPelt
of Harpursville
James D. VanPelt, 75, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents and two sistsers. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn VanPelt, Harpursville; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Butch Ahner, Harpursville; grandchildren, Sondra and Jesse Musok, Binghamton; James and Jennifer Bobzien, Johnson City, Amy and Aaron Ahner, Harpursville; one great-granddaughter, Shelby Bobzien, Johnson City; one brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Alice VanPelt, Clayton, Del.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie Wheatley, Cheswold, Del., Barbara Davis, Lemoine, Maine, Nancy and Roy Teat, Clayton, Del.; also several nieces and nephews. James was a Navy veteran with 20 years of service and a 20 year employee of Singer Link. During his military career and his job with Singer Link, Jim and his wife traveled all of the United States, Europe and South America. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, February 19th, at 12 Noon, at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, N.Y., with his Pastor Rev. David C. Werly officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Knox Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon. Memorial contributions in Jim's memory may be made to Broome Oncology, 30 Harrison St., Suite 100, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790. The family would like to thank Dr. Khan and the staff at Broome Oncology and the home nurse, Wendy Robinson for all their love and care.
