Joseph Wascalis Obituary
Kirkwood - Joseph Wascalis 80, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2017. Born March 24, 1937 in Exeter, PA., he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Wascalis. Joseph was predeceased by two infant sisters, grandchildren Jodie Donahue and Matthew Murray. He is survived by his children, Patricia (Malcom) Shaw, Karen Donahue and Lisa Wascalis. Brother and sister-in-law Francis & Angie Wascalis. Grandchildren Jill Latini, Jennifer Watson, Jesse Gibbons, Jared Gibbons, Mark Murray, Mallory Murphy, Jacob Woodrow and Caleb Shaw. Also, 14 great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his loving partner, Charlotte Thomson and family of Lincoln, CA. He was a graduate of Scranton University. He was employed at Singer-Link for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, sports, politics & playing the trumpet. Upon retirement he relocated to California. His greatest was love was his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he cherished. He recently returned home and was blessed to spend time with each of them. He was a former member of St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood, NY. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Court Street, Binghamton, NY on Friday, February 2nd at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.

i worked with Joe at Singer/Link in the 1980's. He was a kind heart with a wonderful sense of humor but knew how to get the work done. All memories of Joe are good ones. To his family, I am sorry for your loss.
