Thomas Decker Obituary
Thomas J. Decker Jr., 85, of Triangle, NY passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary Frances (Reardon) Decker, 7 children; Susan (Joe) McDonald, Michael (Ann), Margaret (Bruce), John (Missy), Mary (Jack) Thomas, Thomas (Rosa-deceased), Kathleen (Duane) Featherbay, 23 grandchildren, and currently 34 great grandchildren, many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Tom was a Veteran of the US ARMY, had careers with Singer-Link, IBM, ran the Thrift Shop in Triangle with his wife and started ERA Decker Real Estate and provided many hours of support to his special friends at Schaefer's Gardens. He served his community of Whitney Point as local School Board Member, Rotarian, and Broome County Fair Board member. The family will receive friends at St. Patrick's Church 59 Keibel Road Whitney Point, NY Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 9:30 am until the Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Donations in Tom's memory can be made to Camp Mark Seven 144 Mohawk Hotel Rd. Old Forge, NY 13420 or the Whitney Point Rotary Student Award Fund PO Box 744 Whitney Point, NY 13862. Tom, Mike, and all the Deckers,
We recently learned of your father's passing and wanted to express our deepest sympathies. He was such a nice man and loved being surrounded by his family and friends. We fondly remember the family reunions at their house with camping, and cooking all those chicken halves in the secret sauce. May those wonderful memories give you comfort in the coming years. Remember, he will always be with you in the memories you hold deep in your hearts. Much love to all.....

Tom was a very nice man. i had not seen him in years. But he started the process of us buying our house in Glen Aubrey. He will be missed.

I was so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. I remember so much of his and Mary Francis life. We were together all through school and then in Alabama at Redstone Arsenal. Remember those days Mary Francis? Thought of you two many many times. I was not sure where you were living and I left NY state in 1997 to move to North Carolina with IBM. My prayers go out to you Mary and to all your family.
