Molter, Linda Diane

Linda Diane Molter, 69, of Frederick, MD passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born in Johnson City NY, raised in Vestal NY, Linda was a 1964 graduate of Vestal High School. She was the daughter of Carl W. Molter, Jr. of Frederick and the late Mary Elizabeth (Lane) Molter. Linda retired in 2015 from the University of North Carolina Hospital and relocated to Frederick Maryland to be closer to her family. In addition to her father, she is survived by her sister, Barbara Ann (Molter) Porter and husband, James; a nephew, Brian James Carr and his son, Zachary; a niece, Brandi Lane (Carr) Meese and her husband, George; and cousins, Vonda (Molter) Borzello and husband, Jerry, and Donald Molter and wife, Alice (Kennedy) Molter. Linda was predeceased by her grandparents, Carl and Millie Mae (Shraffer) Molter, and Arthur and Mary (Bromsey) Lane, both of Johnson City NY, and loving companion Norman Burwick. Linda was lucky enough to have a number of lifelong friends, including Lorraine and Don Gello of Durham NC; Terry Schaefer of Seminole FL; Dianne and Mario Spinelli; and Donna and John Waite. Linda was also blessed to have a number of close friends from work. A private celebration of life will be held for friends and family. Memorial donations in Linda's memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County Maryland, and expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at www.staufferfuneralhome.com
