Every year that passed and many days of that year in between you are missed dearly by friends and family. Al you were the best, of course your name and wonderful memories come up. Yes my dear friend I will always cherish and remember those times we had. Al I truly wish you would hsve not left us soon. You and I and all else had so much life in front of us live and enjoy. For some reason the lord called you and you left us. But only physically, not Spiritually. You will be in all of our dreams and fond memories ..... Al, you will live on through our thoughts and memories "Forever". God Bless you Al..... Your friend forever Rod.

Good morning Al. It's been two years already. I still miss your presence at work. Things just aren't the same and never will be. But we must go on and make the best with what we have. And "Who we have". We made it through Thanksgiving or as I say "a dress rehearsal for Christmas". Two years, the time has gone quite fast. It's time to go Al, so I will say so long for now, never good bye. Take care and everyone at the shop say Hi and Happy Holidays, later Rod....

Hi Al, just a short note. Your cousin Deb posted one of the pictures I sent her. It was the BBQ that you had in down town Sebastapol. You and your relatives cooked a whole Pip in a park. You started cooking late the night before. I remember you had to use "Bailing Wire" to hold the pig on the roticere. It was a great time for all. I remember when the pig was done and you were going to carve it, everybody gathered around and snacked on little pieces you carved off. I remember that day , because I realized that day how connected you were to your family and friends. And how much they were connected to you. I hope Deb will post some of the other pictures. Al you take care and I will be in touch. Say hi to everybody up there. I miss you and all of my family and friends that have passed very much. Rod....

Hi Al, Old Buddy. I it has been awhile since I last wrote you. You are still in my thoughts everyday, as in many other people. I am off work at the moment, I had my shoulder operated on on the seventeenth of August. I am scheduled to go back on the seventeenth of September. On another note, I sent your cousin Deb some photo's that I had of you and the "Fella's" from a long time ago. I am not sure what she did with them? I was hoping she would post them hear for all to see. I had pic's of you and some family members roasting a pig in downtown Sebastapol. Those pictures brought some fond memories of the past. Back then we didn't have a care in the world. Every day was a gas, and we lived life as if there was no tomorrow. Anyway it was good to chat with you, always in my thoughts. Say Hi to my little brother Mark Oates if you run across him up there... Rod....

Happy Easter Albert, I don't need to tell you how much you are missed. I do know that every story I tell you are in it, If it's when we were kids or teenagers or parents it seemed like we were always doing something together.Going to the lake, the place in Truckee, hunting, shooting or working. We have been through alot good and bad times. You will always be in my stories and memories.
Miss You

Happy March Al.. It's been too long since I posted a note for you. I apologize for my actions !!! On with my message, today i had the honor of meeting Joe from SR Meat and Poultry. I pictured him completely different. It was great to finally put a face with a voice. We had lots to talk about. He gave me a tour of the plant. I had never been there in all the years we have done business with him. Time has marched on at United. ( of course)Not to much has changed, other than you not being there. I still can't get use to the fact that you are not coming back.. You are still there in spirit, and always will be. As long as I am still there your memory will still remain, and I hope after I am gone the others will honor you as I have for all the good times and memories you gave us. On another note , I have some pictures I would like to share with the rest of Al's family. They are pictures of a BBQ in downtown Sebastapol, they are more than thirty years old. And I have some other pic's of Al and the "Fella's" when we went shooting at a ranch a very long time ago. Again, thanks Deb for continuing this website in honor of Albert. I know he meant more to you than any of us will ever know. Let me know how I can get these pic's I have in the guest book. Thanks again Rod....

Saw Marco the other day talked about how much we all miss you.Hard to believe it was almost a year ago.I still think that I will see you at the BBQs and holidays. The grounds keepers only take the full cans.Anyway we will never forget you and that little snicker or smile of yours that always made us laugh.Tell we meet again????

To my friend, I really miss your sense of humor. Things just aren't the same without you at work. Not a day goes by, that your name or some sort of memory of you comes up. Of course it's always a good one.... We are doing the best we can in your absence. You will never be replaced, just filled in for. Time to go Al, until next time. Rod Oates

January 3, 2011

Hi Al, Happy new Year to you. I no, easy for me to say. After all you are the one who is not here to live it. You are here in spirit. And that counts big with me. We all have to learn to live with that fact. If you can't be here in person, I will take your spirit. I just want to be able to talk with you, or just express my feelings. Sure it would be great to actually speak with you. I know it won't happen. So this will have to do for now. Even after this Book expires, I will still have thoughts for you. And continue to send them to you in my way. Later Al, Rod....

Albert, (Freddy)
The loss of you brings such heartache to us all. Your smiling face, your wonderful spirit & green "stuff" in the tuna will always be in our memories that will last for eternity. We know you are discussing many issues with the family you are with and they probably have you working the brush ;-) Albert, you will be greatly missed, you will be loved forever. Until we meet again my cousin.

November 24, 2010

Al it is so sad to hear about your passing. At least I got to hear your voice on Fridays when I would call you. God Bless to your family. You will be missed. Always, Debbie and all from Roberts.

Kristin and I cried when we heard of Al's passing. We both enjoyed Al so much and always looked forward to seeing him at United. Such a wonderful sense of humor! We had so many good laughs during the twenty some years we've known him. We'd often come home and tell the other what Al said today! It was always funny and irreverent. We'll always miss him.
