Autumn Holbrook Obituary

Born on July 31, 1969, passed suddenly on November 6, 2010. She will be greatly missed by her loving parents Ron and Zandra Aguilar; her wonderful daughters Natasha Holbrook-Gutierrez and Natalie Silvestro; Natasha's dad, Johnny Gutierrez; close friend David; and all her family, friends and co-workers at Whole Foods Market and Wells Fargo Center for the Arts. Autumn was a full-spectrum woman, ever evolving as a butterfly. As beautiful and glorious as the season. She was the loving and caring mama of her daughter Natasha, and a friend to all. Talented, vivacious and loving, she was the back-up person extraordinaire. She loved music from heavy metal to classical. People young and old. Theater, art and nature. "Full steam ahead" in every activity she was involved in. Her smile, her voice, the glow of her presence will be missed by all who knew her. A "Celebration of Life" will be held for Autumn on December 3, 2010 at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Lytton Rancheria Grand Lobby. Please come and share your photos and stories of Autumn at her celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Natasha Holbrook-Gutierrez Trust Account at any Exchange Bank in Sonoma County, CA.

Dear Autumn:

I never knew you, but I know those in the theatre community who did know you, and I am so very sorry that you have passed away so unexpectedly. I'm sure you were a marvelous woman in every way, and I send my deepest sympathies to your family and friends. I wish I had met you, Autumn. God bless you.

Oh Autumn, been out of touch the last years but so many good memories from Back in the day. I will miss that look I use to get from you. You were one of a kind.
Zandra, so sorry for your loss. Wish you and the family well. Such a big loss. We will remember her.

Dear Autumn,

I attended your memorial celebration today and found it very difficult emotionally. We have worked together for 8 years on a number of theater projects and it was always my great pleasure to come to the theater and greet you and Natasha. Still, I am surprised just how effected I have been these weeks at your inexplicable death. As personal stories and musical offerings continued throughout today's ceremony so did my sorrow build, as well as my feeling of detachment from the world. It was only following the formal proceedings that I finally saw your beautiful and ever vivacious Natasha running the length of the lobby and up and down from the balcony leading the other children in a game of tag that there was a sense of hope and the beginnings of my release from sorrow. As I continued to follow her play I saw the continuation of your life. At the kid's table I joined in with Natasha and the others there drawing Hershey "Kisses" with crayon and paper so I could be surrounded by children and get more of that feeling of peace. Although there were hundreds of your friends and colleagues in attendance many of whom I spoke with, the only deep consolation came from the children. A balm of hope but even more a feeling of rightness. The rightness of childhood.

For weeks now I have been angry at the injustice of your premature death. For you, Natasha, your parents, and every one of us who know you it was wrong for you to die so young. I felt, and so did many others at today's gathering that you were present. We saw glimpses of you, we felt you. You were palpably on our minds.

As you read this, you may recall today's event with some sense of closure, or at least the knowledge that you touched many who remember you with love in our hearts.

We are so, so sad - it's almost as if it can't be true, but it is true. If only we could go back in time! We did not see her enough. She was so lucky to have you, Zandra, and Ron, and all the love she was surrounded by throughout her life. She lived life to the fullest! She'll live on through Natasha always.

I am so shocked to hear of Autums passing that words really can't describe what I feel. She changed my life many years ago and I will never be able to repay her for what she did for me. My deepest sympathy to Zandra and all of her family...

It was such a shock to read of Autumn's passing. My heart goes out to those of her family with whom I have worked: Little Natasha, and Big John G., alias Rudy Reindeer. Even Pegasus, our flying horse, is very sad.
