Lola Brady Obituary

Passed away peacefully Thanksgiving evening November 25, 2010, with her son and daughter-in-law at her side. She was 92. She was born in San Francisco, March 26, 1917 to Frank and Giuseffina Giometti and was the sister of Si Giometti, and the late Ray Giometti. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Brady, and devoted mother to Tom Brady (Elaine). Grandmother to Stephanie Brady, and great grandmother to Tristin and Tyler. Lola was raised in Healdsburg. She was an active member of St. John's church and volunteered at St. John's school in the 1950's teaching dancing to the students. She owned a local Beauty Salon and later became a Real Estate Agent. She loved Hawaii and in her later days would perform the Hula in her wheelchair. Bob and Lola retired to Cameron Park, CA and finally to Placerville to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She had a very full and loving life. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2nd at Saint John's Church, 208 Matheson Street, Healdsburg with entombment following.

Lola was a friend of my mother's when mom lived in SF in the late 30's and early 40's and then continued the friendship throughout the years. I was recently going through mom's letters and found letters Lola had written to mom as well as pictures of Lola and their gang. I had hoped to get them to the Casci girls so they could read them to Lola. I'm sorry I didn't make it in time. She would have gotten a kick out of them I'm sure. She was a firecracker and I'm sure she would love this picture. She was the last of that gang to die. After reading their letters it's hard to believe all those fun loving people are gone.

I'm glad to have had the oppportunity to visit Lola with my mom back in the late 90's/early '00's? She was so good at trying to stay in contact with me after mom died. I'm sorry I didn't do better. She was a fun, loving, caring person.

My condolences to her family
