MARK BOONE Obituary

BOONE, MARK DAVID 40 - of Atlantic City, bowed out of this life peacefully on April 8, 2011. Born in Hartford, CT, he grew up in Atlantic City, Richmond Virginia, and most recently resided in Lake City Florida. He attended Atlantic City High School and Vo-Tech, where he studied auto mechanics. He was an avid fisherman, an "angler" according to his own self description. He enjoyed playing basketball, bowling and listening to music. He had three passions in life: AIR Jordans, "getting" Mike Boone, his oldest brother and playing spades, and was the current holder of the Spades Championship Belt, which he created. He was lastly employed by IHOP Worldwide in Richmond, Virginia, where he served as Chief Waiter and Floor Supervisor. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Marilyn Boone of Lake City, Fl. He is survived by his parents, Rev. Dr. Johnny McCoy Boone (Joycelyn), of Cocoa Beach Florida, Mother: Thelma Ann Boone, of Atlantic City, grandmother Mary Lois Boone, Gates NC. His Sons: Darren Martin, of Galloway Township, Markell and Mark Boone, of Richmond, Virginia, and daughter Faith Crenshaw of Richmond, Virginia. Brother Michael Boone, of Atlantic City, Kevin Wadley (Eleanor) of Orlando, Florida, his sisters: Cheryl Givens-Toulson (Todd) of Atlantic City and Carolyn Boone of Atlantic City. His uncles, Lindsey Boone (Sabrina) of Raleigh, NC, Linwood Boone (Amanda) of Norfolk, Virginia, Charles Boone, Gates, NC, predeceased by Charlie Anderson Jr. of Richmond, Virginia, Quentin Trice (Crystal) of Richmond, VA, his aunts Alice Bonner (Tom) and Vanessa Falden (David) of Richmond, Virginia, Christine Boone, Delester Saunders (Charlie), Lillie Carter (Alvin), his special nieces, Jomira and Joneice Hollings of Atlantic City, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends of the family: Reginald Skinner (Stephanie). Adoptive family: Ralph and Michael Pace of Pleasantville and his best friend whom he loved and thought of as his brother, Karl McNeaI. Mark lived his life and he loved everyone. To know him was to love him. His zest for living was unmatched by anyone. He will be fondly remembered as a good husband, a great son, a super brother and proud family man whose only hope was to ensure that his family, immediate and otherwise, stayed together, and came together not only in times of sorrow and grief, but came together to love as we live, and are able to share with one another. His love of God was well known, and he was at peace with himself, knowing that his soul was right with his maker. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the New Hope Baptist Church 70406 Lexington Ave, Atlantic City, New Jersey at 10 AM. Interment will be private.
