NANCY WINDER Obituary



WINDER, NANCY BELLE passed away peacefully at her home in Northfield on May 17, 2012. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 1, 1930, she is now reunited with her parents Leona and Ware Parham, brother Ross Parham, and maternal grandmother Flora Coleman. Nancy Belle is survived by her husband Charles, son James and his wife Martha of Princeton Jct, NJ, son Robert and his wife Joan of Williamsburg, VA, son Ross and his wife Gwenda of Lexington, KY, and daughter Nancy of Holland Twp, NJ. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Abigail, Elizabeth, Susanna, Philip, and Charles. She and her family lived in Crystal City, MO before moving to Baltimore, MD. Nancy Belle graduated from Eastern High School and met her husband in her senior year. They have been together ever after. Nancy Belle and Charlie lived and raised their children in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Virginia. They returned to New Jersey in 1979 and have lived in Northfield for 33 years. Nancy Belle was a past president of the PTA of the Washington Park Elementary School in Edison, NJ. She campaigned for former US Senator John Warner of Virginia. She volunteered as a teacher's assistant at the former Winchell Orthopedic School of Longport. Nancy Belle was a long-time member of the former Boardwalk Regents Club, in which she served in many capacities, including president. She was a faithful member of The Epiphany Lutheran Church, where she served as greeter, usher, and altar guild. A funeral service will be held at The Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pleasantville on Saturday, June 2 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Epiphany Lutheran Church, PO Box 741, Franklin and Tunis Avenues, Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
