My heart is sadden cause you left so sudden! But I know you are in better hands in a better place and no longer hurting or in need for nothing. I don't mean to sound selfish but I wish you was still here with me. Laughing and joking with me. I know I wasn't the ideal granddaughter but I loved you and cherish you with everything in me. There is a emptiness in me the day u left that will never be filled. I never got to say I love you and never got to say thank you for all you have y for me and my kids. Rest in paradise GD you deserve it.......

Granddaddy, I will miss you very much!! I will miss searching for your Western movies and sitting with you on the porch in the summer. I will never forget your sense of humor especially the day you tried to convince us to spend your paper dollar!! I love you and thank you for teaching my husband how to be a man. You did a great job! Your lesson will carry on in our household! RIP.

My prayers go out to the Tatum Family. I grew up with the Mitchell Children in Blandford on Hannon Street. Mr. Tatum was one of the few father figures in the neighborhood. He was quite but caring. God has been good allowing you all so many years with your family intact. Be strong and know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal. Love from the remaining Garris Family...
