Joyce Belcher Obituary
She is survived by her children, Frances Taliferro and husband, Wayne of Salem, Lawrence Tucker and wife, Jo Ann of Colonial Heights, Brenda Drinkwater of Richmond, and David Tucker and wife, Teresa of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Curtis, David Andrew, Michael, Jessica, Chappel, Blake and David Kyle; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruby, Ruth, Ellen and Becky.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone, Va., with the Rev. Franklin Mills officiating. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

I am Donald Evans' sister, Belinda Evans, and I only knew Joyce for a short period of time, but it was a pleasure and blessing, to meet such a nice lady. I enjoyed the few conversations we had and I have missed seeing her when I go an visit my mom. I send my condolences to her family. As my brother said, I knew her, from being in the same room, with my mom, at the Golden Care Living Center.

I came to know Mrs. Belcher only in the last 3 months as she was in the room with my mom at Golden Care Living Center. I very much enjoyed the conversations we had about all the food we talked about. I hated seeing where she had passed away. I'll miss seeing and talking to her. It was a pleasure knowing her for such a short time.
