FRANCES S. WOLFREY

Frances S. Wolfrey, 81, of Disputanta, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Bryant Wolfrey; and parents, Willie Clarence and Nelly Gray Nubey Stywater; daughter, Cindy Wolfrey Frazier; sisters, Ruby Vlk, Ann Spain; and a brother, Buck Stywater. Frances was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved hummingbirds and maintained numerous feeders in her yard and had a collection as well, loved playing the piano and also loved her dog Toto, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church for over 10 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Dianne Wolfrey Lewis and husband, John L., of Church Road, and Frances Dale Wolfrey Alter and husband, Buddy, of Chesterfield; three sons, Raymond Bryant Wolfrey and wife, Debbie, of Petersburg, Wilton Wayne Wolfrey of Disputanta, and George Eric Wolfrey and wife, Lois, of Petersburg; special niece, Carol Archer; along with numerous other nieces and nephews; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at the Mausoleum in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 783, Waverly, VA 23890. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
