Robert Pelletier

PELLETIER, ROBERT A. 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara J. (Kelly) Pelletier. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Louis and Sarah (Adams) Pelletier. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and he worked as a draftsman and designer at FRAM, East Providence, until retiring in 1991. He was a longtime communicant of St. Teresa Church; member of the bowling league at East Providence Lanes and a coach for Darlington American Little League. Robert was an avid card player and also enjoyed playing tennis. Above all he was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He leaves three children, R. Andrew Pelletier, and his wife, Karen Colucci-Pelletier of Milton, MA, Loretta Carnes and her husband, Paul of Cumberland and Michelle Desimone and her husband, Michael of Ridgefield, CT; a brother, Edward Pelletier and his wife, Joan of Pawtucket; twelve grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary-Ann Johnson and his siblings, Paul Pelletier, Dorothy Pelletier, Theresa Guiliani, Claire Holleran and Jeannette Fournier. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
