Jesse L. Shugart

Jesse L. Shugart Jesse L. Shugart, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, in Amarillo. Shugart was born March 14, 1921 in Des Moines, N.M. Shugart was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II in First Army, Fourth Infantry. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was also a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Shugart is survived by his wife, Bonnie Shugart, of Gladstone, a son, Dennis Shugart (Deana) of Dalhart, and a daughter, Teresa Brown (Gale) of Tucumcari. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services were held Friday in Clayton at the First Baptist Church. Rev, Billy Rammage officiated. Burial took place in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery, arrangements were made by Hass Funeral Directors.
