Joyce White Grist Obituary

1934 - 2010
Our precious mother went home to her Lord and Savior, Thanksgiving Morning, November 25, 2010.
She was born September 12, 1934 in Knobel, Arkansas to Leo and Lorene LaCoste, The family moved to Susanville when she was a young girl. It was there she fell in love with a neighbor boy. She and LeRoy White were married December 30, 1950. They moved to Anderson in 1954 where they raised their children.
Joyce loved her Lord and was very active in her church until her health made that impossible. She was supportive in her children's activities through the years.
She is survived by children: Leanna Mickela (David) of Cottonwood, Debbie Strouf (Brad) of WA, John White of Anderson and Fred White of NV. Grandchildren: Jennifer and Gage White both of Anderson. Step grandchildren Teri Butts and children of GA, Nancy Burroughs and children of AL and Scott Strouf of WA. Brothers Jerry (Loretta) of Anderson, Phil (Sheila) of Redding and Ron LaCoste of NV. Sisters-in-law Violet Anderson of Alaska, Evelyn Bohanan of NV.
She was proceeded in death by husbands LeRoy White and Lee Grist, her parents brother Rick and step granddaughter Pam Hollomon.
Services will be Saturday December 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at 1st So. Baptist Church in Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, she would want donations to be made to the youth fund at her church, First Southern Baptist Church, 1761 Ferry St, Anderson, CA 96007.
