Ola May Milton Bryant

Ola May Milton Bryant, 95, of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2011. She was born November 4, 1915 in Bedford County to Joseph Peter and Eliza Jane Milton. May was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Bryant and great-granddaughter, Tiffany LaPrade, seven brothers and two sisters. She was a long time active member of Riverdale Baptist Church, where she taught an adult Sunday School class for many years. May is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James Dallas and Shirley Bryant; grandson, Mike Bryant; granddaughters, Vicky Gillespy and husband, Robert and Trina LaPrade; great-grandson, Robert Gillespy IV; a special niece, Faye Quam and husband, Fred; special nephew, Marvin Milton and wife, Pat; many additional nieces and nephews and a special friend, Edna Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Roanoke, with Pastor David Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 24, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverdale Baptist Church at 1624 Edgerton Ave., Roanoke, VA. 24014.
