I wish every person attending high school could have had a great teacher like Mrs. Armbrister. She was kind and always willing to help anyone who needed it. I learned much more than English from her.
I'm sorry for for all of the people who loved her. We all have our special memories of her. From a former student.

What a great English teacher was Mrs. Armbrister! She taught me to love literature and poetry. She was a terrific inspiration to her students. I will miss seeing her at our 1960 class reunions.

Mrs. Armbrister's senior English class was the single bright spot from the year I attended Dublin High School. She was A truly gifted teacher who could make Literature come alive for the lonely, withdrawn kid that I was in 1960. Her memory will live with me as long as my memory lives.

Mrs. Armbrister prepared us for life and how to communicate. She helped us all learn and learn how to learn. She was an artist, a great American, and a great Virginian. She was an example on how to live. A sweet dear person who cared for us all deeply. She was direct and showed us the way. The right way. We who had her for a teacher are truly blessed. She is a reference for us all. If everyone in the world had her for a teacher there would be no wars.

I am very sorry to hear of Mrs. Armbrister's passing. This lady taught me more English Grammer in 1 year, than all of the other classes put together!

Mrs. Armbrister was a wonderful teacher and true Christian southern lady. I loved to hear her speak so eloquently as she lectured. I had the pleasure of having her as a teacher in high school for a Grammar and a Literature class. I also was blessed to live in the same town and attend church with her. A few years ago, my parents and I paid her a visit, because I wanted to thank her for being such a great teacher. The lessons she taught me in Grammar were priceless to me. I extend my condolences to Michael and Mary Ann for the loss of their dear mother, a great Christian role model and teacher for many.
