Hettie Rowena Angle Foutz Boone

Hettie Rowena Angle Foutz Boone, 84, of Vinton, Va., passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. She was born in the Wirtz area of Franklin County, August 16, 1926, the daughter of the late Joe Ceaphus Angle and Callie Marie Wray Angle. Rowena was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Foutz. She was a longtime member and very active for over 30 years in Vinton Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her husband, Arthur Boone, of Vinton; daughter, Glenda F. Howell and husband, Ronald, of Thaxton; sons, Gerald Foutz and wife, Alice, of Vinton, Gene Foutz and wife, Tammy, of Vinton; six grandchildren, Shane Wheeler, Christina Wheeler, Jerry Foutz, Gwen Foutz, Dustin Foutz and wife, Felesha, Joseph Foutz; sister, Ivy Rose Brubaker and husband, Lowell, of Callaway; four sistersin-law; one brother-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Lotz Vinton Chapel with Pastor Roy Heinlen officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
