To the Harris family:

So sorry to hear about "Sleepy" He was well known by everyone that grew up on Back Creek and your home was one of the best places to pass time. Loved listening to his stories. Both my father Wayne Pendleton and grandfather "Lewis" always spoke very highly of him. I will never forget when granddad passed away, he was the very first one at the funeral home. He told us that he wanted to be the first and then went on to tell us of some funny stories about when they were growing up. We will always have fond memories of him. If there is anything you need, please let us know.

So sad to hear of the passing of sleepy. I met him probably 20 years ago at the old Country store and then years later when I moved that way, such an interesting guy, he will be missed, but that curve headed up the mountain ( even though they are tearing away at it now ) will always be "sleepys curve" to me ! My condolences go out to the family.
