Betty Wray Obituary

Betty Jeanette Goad Wray, of Colonial Heights, died Sunday, March 14, 2010. Born September 2, 1951 in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Herman Goad, Sr. and Lutie Davis Goad. Surviving are brothers and sisters, Barbara Cole and husband, Bill, of New Castle, Bonnie Lonon and husband, Brian, of Chesterfield, Charlie Goad and wife, Delores, W. D. Goad and wife, Brenda, all of Lexington, and Brenda Spillers and husband, Tom, of Vesuvius; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Mace officiating. Burial will follow in Timber Ridge ARP Cemetery. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.

My heart is broken over the loss of my friend and former co-worker. I have known Betty for many years and have always tried to keep in touch with her. She is one of the kindest people I have ever known. She would do anything for anyone. I will always remember her for that. I love Betty and will miss her terribly.
