Grace Gray Obituary

Grace Naomi Gray, 80, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010. She was born in Baltimore, Md. on November 24, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Preston and Pearl McDaniel. Grace was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Baltimore, Md. She loved music and playing the piano. She was a professional Cosmetologist Teacher and she worked in a hardware store that she and her husband, Walter, owned. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McDaniel and a sister, Eileen Parlowsky. She is survived by her husband, Walter W. Gray; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Robert and Diane L. Zeller; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Edmund and Geraldine Gray; sister, Ada Dawson; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Lemmons Funeral Home Chapel, Timonium, Md. Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lemmons Funeral Home. The Gray family is being served by John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem Chapel and Lemmons Funeral Home, Timonium, Md.
