I happen to be looking for someone else, and noticed Mrs. Steele's name. Mrs. Steele was my 1st grade teacher in 1965.It is funny how you always remember your first grade teacher. Obviously she left a mark on me. I remember when I graduated from high school I gathered pictures from our class and sent them to her. I received such a nice note from her. Always a lady. My sympathy to the family.

My heart goes out to your family. I loved Ina. I had my uncle across the hall from her for 3 years at the Glebe and always took interest in Ina. She loved her babies - the real ones and the baby dolls. The ladies all wanted to hold her babies & she was so sharing & sweet. I'll never forget the day that she was told the 1st great grandbaby news came & how excited she was! It is sad to see the regression in this life but to know what a better place she is in now & the homecoming! My, Ina is certainly enjoying herself. Gerry - You were a wonderful son to be there for her every day to ensure she ate & was comfortable and satisfied. A lot of those days were hard, I know. Your Mom was a gift to all of us. I'm so glad that we became friends and I'll always remember you all. It will be hard to get into a new routine, but hang in there. With your beautiful granchildren, they should keep you busy. It has been great to be a part of your lives as your family has grown. God bless you.

Ina's vibrant spirit will forever be a treasure. She was an indomitable source of comfort and gentle wisdom. Her joy in living shone as she shared with me her stories of her dog walking rituals, her love of teaching, seeing a Broadway show, tending the garden and the geraniums, or sailing on a cruise ship.
I will be forever grateful for her sharing with me her most precious love of all- the most Extra-ordinary Family Steele. To Ina.

When someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure to hold. Hold on to the many memories of Sweet Ina. I remember when she came to the glebe. May the Lord bless you all each and everyday.

We only knew Ina for a short time, but she was a dear sweet woman. When she talked we all listened, and she made everyone laugh. Ina will be sorely missed by all. Thoughts and prayers go to the family.
We love you Ina.
