Margie & Steve, our hearts go out to you and your families. Your parents were an ever-welcoming presence in our neighborhood. I can still see your father walking by our house going home from work, with a BIG smile and a little wave, lunchpail in tow. There are lots of happy memories of watching American Bandstand at your house, playing theater, games, forts...and your Mom and Dad in the background letting us enjoy their home & yard. Your dad was a kind, gentle soul, a hard-working man, who loved his family. Hold on to all the dear memories, as we will.

Hanging out at the Strang's was one of the things that made growing up in Skyridge such a great experience. Elden and Martha were wonderful people who always welcomed their childrens' friends. My sincere condolences and warm wishes to Steve and Margie and families. We Skyridge kids were the luckiest kids in Auburn, and your family was a big part of that.

Our mom and dad (mom was Elden's sister for those who might be reading this and don't know) took us a lot to Auburn to play and watch wrestling on TV (they had one of the first sets). I have a lot of really nice memories of seeing Uncle Elden in his sailer suit in Lincoln. He will be missed.

Your Dad was a kind and considerate man. I worked on his crew when he was a truck driver, many years ago. Those of us who worked with him have many fond memories and stories, and we'll never forget he was always there with a smile and helpful hand. May your Dad's love and the memories you shared, bring you peace and comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family.

Steve & Margie,
Cliff and I have many great memories of both your mom and dad. They were great neighbors for a long time. I remember your dad telling us not to worry about the noise from out sons car in the garage. He said at least you know where he is.
