My best memory of Harold Couch was the day I came to Rockford to ask if I could marry his daughter Robin. He took me out and we spent the day together going out to the club and to a meet up with his friends...watching GB Packers game and having some beers together. We ended up at a place DB Gators and ate them out of wings. At the end of the day he said "Well, I guess its ok if you marry Robin...just treat her good". I'm sure I am not the guy Harold would have hoped for in a son-in-law. I dont hunt and can barely turn a screw driver- but he is the most decent, honest and genuine man I've ever known - and will always be grateful for the friendship he showed me, and for the daughter he let me marry. Good hunting Harold!

My dad was a great man. loved by alI I never knew anyone that did not like Harold. He was an extremely decent man and never shyed away from the truth. He would tell it like it is. Sometimes he would silently disagree with a little smirk on his face and you knew that Harold was just not buying it. The love and support shown by all his friends over the last few days is a telling testament to the man that Harold was. I have seen grown men cry as if they had just lost their own father. I love my dad and will miss him.
