Eric S. Ganoe, 27 ROCKFORD - Eric S. Ganoe, 27, formerly of Rock-ford, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, in his home. Born Jan. 6, 1984, in Rockford, the son of Scot and Dawn (Moore) Ganoe. Graduated from Auburn High School in 2002. Eric loved his family and adored his nieces and nephews. Survived by his father, Scot (Mari) Ganoe; sisters, Mandy (James) Gould and Danielle (Larry) McAllister; grandmothers, Eunice Zellner and Marion Moore; nieces and nephews, Myranda, Tyler, Jameson, Gracie, Trestin and Mykenzie; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and good friend, Craig Cottrell. Predeceased by his mother, Dawn Ganoe; grandfathers, Dennis Ganoe, Douglas Moore and Bernie Zellner. Service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, in Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service, 7000 W. State St. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, in the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. To send tributes, visit mem.com.

Eric I will miss you so much, your long text messages that take me 10 mins to read, your laugh, your smile, you hanging on me, your big kisses hello and goodbye, my ninja friend hanging garage sale signs with me, our love for the color orange, our family get togethers and the birthday dinners. Scott, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Although I will never really know the pain of losing a child, my heart goes out to you and the family.
