Clora Mills Obituary

CLORA MAE 'BOONIE' MILLS, 96 PECATONICA - Clora Mae "Boonie" Mills, 96, of Pecatonica died at 5 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, in Medina Nursing Center, after a long illness. Born March 10, 1915, in St. Paris, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Jean (Garrett) Mitchell. She married William G. Mills on Sept. 26, 1941, in Rockford. They lived many years in Tipp City, Ohio, retiring to Venice, Fla., in 1977. William died June 19, 1980. Boonie then moved to Pecatonica in 1997 to be near family. Survivors include sister, Emily (John) Houser of Denver; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Carl Mitchell; and sister, Moneta Brecount. Her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Medina Nursing Center for the tender and loving care given to Aunt Boonie. Cremation rites to be accorded.
