MYRTLE L. FLEMING, 97 ROCKFORD - Myrtle L. Fleming, 97, of Rockford, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015. Born Nov. 9, 1917, in Britt, Iowa, daughter of Lee and Maude (Meleney) Brett. Employed as a bookkeeper for more than 50 years. Attended St. Bridget Catholic Church. She supported her great-niece throughout her ballet career. Myrtle's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Survivors include niece, Linda Lee Lampert; a very special great-niece, Katherine Lee Sayre. Predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Lampert and Charlotte Brett. The family wishes to thank St. Bridget members for their prayers and support over the years, her loving caregivers and Heartland Hospice. A catholic blessing will be private. Burial in Lawn Ridge Cemetery, Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bridget Catholic Church Guild or Heartland Hospice. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
