Beverly Macias Obituary
Beverly Mae Macias, 71, of Rockford, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. Born October 15, 1944, in Walnut Ridge, AR; daughter of Charles H and Lucy Mae (Tartlon) Davis Jr. Married Richard Macias November 15, 1961, in Rockford, IL. She followed in her mother's footsteps and was the matriarch and foundation for the family. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her true joy in life was being there for her family for every event no matter when or where it was. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading and dining out with her husband. She was a daredevil and believed in trying everything at least once which included ski jumps, water skiing and sky diving. She signed her kids up for every sport and activity telling them after the fact and that they had to at least try it. Their house was known for the in ground pool and she would be their lifeguard. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed. Survivors include her spouse, Richard; children, Mark (Kathleen), Mardy, Elyce, Reece; grandchildren, Nicole, Richie, Macie, Maximus; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Ava, Raelyn; siblings, Randall (Candi) Davis and Jamie Jones; nieces and nephews, Mike, Chuckie, Nick, Cory, Tyler, Mackenzie, Chelsea and Katelyn. Predeceased by parents and sister, Carla Bankord.

I helped take care of Beverly in the hospital recently. She was such a sweet lady. I will remember how brave and kind she was despite going through what was sure to be an unimaginably difficult time for her. She was the type of patient who makes an impression on us healthcare workers. I know she did on me. My condolences go out to her family and friends.

Rich, Mark,Mardy, Randall & Jamie, thanks to all of you for being so welcoming & letting me share in the last couple of days that Beverly had left I'm grateful to all of you, even though Bev could no longer communicate I'm sure she knew I was there. We were best friends for 59 years. She was generous with her time and family always came first a very caring giving person.She can never be replaced in my life. I first met Bev when I was 13 or 14 years old
she was walking to the corner store on Brooke

Sissy was one of a kind, she was the glue that kept the family together. She went above and beyond to care for others. I know this world won't be the same without her. She will be dearly missed by all. I Loved Sissy and all the unselfish things she did. She was always there when you needed her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her entire family.
