SCRIVNER, Chad Stanley

Born January 6, 1994, Chad was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on November 4, 2013. Although his years were few, the lives he blessed were many. Chad's passion for Jesus Christ was immeasurable. His heart's desire was for others to witness the joy he had through his relationship with Jesus and receive it themselves.

Until we meet again, Chad will be missed by his parents, Jamie and Todd Trafton; brother and sister-in-law, Luke and Marina Williams; sister, Jenni Williams; brother, Michael Trafton; Uncle Luke Williams; Grandparents, Delos and Marilyn Smothermon; nieces, Hailey Williams and Emily Kelley; numerous aunties, uncles and friends.

A celebration of Chad's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at East Valley Church, 7801 Hazel Ave., Orangevale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge, PO Box 276737 Sacramento, CA 95827.

I never met Chad. I saw him at a CR meeting I was attending. His unabashed worship of his Jesus humbled me. My husband was in the same small group as him in CR. He told me that Chad asked if he could pray for all the guys in the group as they were closing their session one evening. He said he expected it to be the usual bless this person etc. he said he was totally unprepared for the precious heartfelt prayers for each one of them and for what their needs were. When my husband and his sponsor found out that Chad was in the hospital they went immediately and sat with him prayed for him and talked to his family. When we got word that he had gone to be home with his Savior I cried. I just find it so weird I didn't know this kid that he touched me so deeply. God bless and comfort Chads family and friends. Love Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind and strength...just like Chad.

Chad I miss you very much! Your lovingkindness was such an inspiration to me. Your prayers were like sweet music to my ears. Your joy was contagious and when I looked at you I saw Jesus. The day we sat in Corinne's office just singing out loud at the top of our lungs was so beautiful. I never do that! But your joy spread to everyone you came into contact with. I'm sorry for us left behind because you had such a great spirit and we will miss that tremendously. I am at peace though because I know there is no place you would rather be then in paradise with The King Of Kings. I can see you smiling from ear to ear with your arms stretched wide open basking in the light of The Lord so bright and joyful, love all encompassing. Thank u dear nephew for the time we shared. Losing a child is a pain I could never imagine. Chad had many friends here in Folsom and I pray for them. May they hold tight to their memories for comfort and lean on each other and family for strength. To Chad's parents and family, I pray you are able to cross the threshold of healing your heart soon and hope you find the strength you need to get through each day.
