Gladys Kreiser Obituary
SALISBURY - Gladys "Pug" Setzer Kreiser, 90, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Gladys was born April 7, 1920, in Salisbury, the daughter of the late Simeon Gustavus Setzer and Lottie Weaver Setzer. Gladys was a 1937 graduate of Spencer High School and was a homemaker.
Gladys was a lifelong member of Providence United Methodist Church, where she was involved with UMW, quilters, choir, taught Bible School, was very active with the Christmas play, chicken and dumpling suppers and painted pictures for the bulletins. She was very artistic and well-known for her paintings. Gladys was a very loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Franklin Morefield, Jr., in 1965; second husband Lawrence Robert Kreiser in 1985; and a son, Steve Morefield and his wife, Sherry.
Survivors include sons Max Morefield and wife Sis of Salisbury, Larry Robert Kreiser and wife Martha of Ramsuer, Rodney J. Kreiser and wife Cheryl-Ann of Granite Quarry; daughters Fay Wyatt and husband John of Salisbury, Becky Bost and husband Bob of Rockwell; brother Jake Setzer and wife Betty Rose of Salisbury; sister Dot Whitley of Salisbury; grandchildren Mark Morefield and wife Katherine, Dana Salley, McCall Morefield, Craig Wyatt and wife Kim, Lucas Wyatt, Laci Wyatt, Frank Wyatt, Tanya Morefield, Gabe Morefield, Marshall Morefield, Tammy McNeely and husband Todd, Karen Bost, Brian Kreiser and wife Debra, Gary Kreiser and wife Nichole, Amy Kreiser Conarroe and husband Charles; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, April 12 at Providence United Methodist Church, Salisbury.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday, April 12 at Providence United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Dan Gobble, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials: Providence United Methodist Church, 6450 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the Kreiser family.

Pug will be dearly missed. She was a wonderful person. I know that my Granny was so happy to welcome her dear friend into heaven. We will continue to pray for all of the family.
