Clifton Fulton Obituary

Clifton Claude Fulton FAITH - Clifton Claude "Chink " Fulton, 76, of Faith, died on Monday (Dec. 12, 2005) at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born on March 13, 1929 in Gaston County, he was the son of Bessie Steele and Lon Green Fulton. Educated in the Salisbury City schools, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. Employed by Cartex Mills, before his retirement in 1990, he was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Fulton was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Reid on November 27, 1989. Survivors include his wife Mary Osborne Fulton, whom he married November 27, 1982; step-sons Billy Cockrell and wife Rhonda and Paul Cockrell, all of Mooresville; step-daughter Lisa Myers of Rockwell; sister Ruth Fulton Smith of Chesapeake, Va.; grandsons Justin Reid, Joe Henderson and Adam Johnston. He is also survived by four nieces and four nephews. Visitation : 1-2 p.m. on Thursday at Summersett Funeral Home and at the residence at other times. Service: 2 p.m. in the Summersett Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Jerry Reardon, minister of Oakland Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow at City Memorial Park, with military graveside rites conducted by the Rowan County Military Honor Guard. Summersett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
