Helen Murphy Obituary

1923 ~ 2014
Helen Lasnick Murphy, 91, passed away Saturday, November 15 2014 from natural causes.
She was born May 9, 1923 in Gilman, Wisconsin to John and Anna Lasnick. She married Bernard Murphy on May 1, 1954 in Wisconsin and moved to Utah in 1961 and later divorced. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Helen retired after 35 years with the Federal Government. She had 27 years of retirement where she was able to travel the country. She loved to shop, paint, and read (until her eyes failed her); she played bridge, bowled, volunteered at her church and loved her pets.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marcia Cavanaugh and her husband David, San Diego, California and Monica Lamprecht and her husband Brad, Taylorsville, Utah, and four grandchildren, John and Kelly Cavanaugh and Laura and Susan Lamprecht. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
The family would like to express appreciation for all who have extended care, concern and assistance. A special thank you to Pat, mom's neighbor that was always willing to help at a moment's notice.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetic or American Heart Association.
A memorial service to follow at a later date.

Dear Marcia and Monica: We are all so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom! She truly was a great lady and we know all of you will miss her very much! Now your mom will be taking care of you in the Heavens as you took care of your mom here on earth.
I have so many fun memories of growing up and being friends with you and your family! Your mom introduced us to Hygeia Swimming and loved going with you in the summers! Your mom was very quiet but we always felt welcomed by her in your home! She was patient with us in all our comings and goings. I loved coming over to your home! When your mom came home from work, she was always interested in what we had to say and about our day!
Your mom is truly an angel and what a fun time it was for your mom to meet up again with all those that had gone before her!
Sending you hugs and praying that the memories you have of your mother will bless and comfort you during this hard time and always. Love...
