John Moe Obituary

John Wendell Moe 79, passed away July 7, 2002 in Orem. He was born April 16, 1923 in Provo, Utah a son of Edward Odin and Nancy Leona Carter Moe. He married Abilene Snowden Feb. 16, 1946 in Pascagoula, MS. Abilene died April 20, 1982. John worked as a construction supervisor building Barite Mills and was also a plumber for many years. He was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #57, the BPO Elks Lodge #849 and the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. John served in the U.S. Navy during Word War II and was retired military after 20 years of service for his country. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal. Survivors include his nieces and nephews: Marylyn Moe of Portland OR; Debra (John) Meyer of Pleasanton CA; Janet (Tom) Lund and daughter Anna of Salt Lake City UT; Lynda Bradley and her children Sarah, Aaron, Jonathon of Errington BC, Canada; Ed (Annebet) Muceus and son Ian of Paradise Valley, CA; and Cheryl Muceus of Abiquiu, New Mexico. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street in Provo. Friends may call 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home 495 South State Street in Orem. Military rites provided by VFW District #4.
