Janice Affleck Obituary
AFFLECK, Janice B age 80 of Largo FL passed away peacefully on Thursday September 22, 2011 in Palm Bay FL.
She was born in Salt Lake City UT and has been a resident of Florida since 1975 coming from PA. She attended the University of Utah and was a member of the university sorority Pi Beta Phi. Her church memberships included the First Baptist Church of Seminole and the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. Janice was a devout Christian. Her favorite Bible verse was the 23rd psalm. She loved the Lord and the Lord's Prayer.
She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include sons David Affleck (Terri) Seminole, Robert Affleck (Donna) Seattle WA, daughter Susan Suttles (Robert) Melbourne FL, sister Beverly Stanton Seattle WA, six grandchildren; Matt, Joy and Scott Suttles, Alexis Price, Cooper and Addison Affleck. She is preceded in death by her husband Colonel David W Affleck Sr.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday Sept 27th at 1 p.m. at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel in Largo. Visitation hours begin at 12 noon and continue until time of service. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the African Leadership Development (ALD), P.O. Box 176 Wheaton IL 60189.

Dear Affleck Family,
I send you my deepest sympathy and condolances. I exchanged Christmas cards with your Dad and Mom for years as your Dad was a cousin to my Dad. (I think their mothers were sisters, but I am a little unclear on it all.) I do know your Dad kept in contact with my mom over the years and I was deeply saddened when he passed. Now he and your mom are together again and I am sure they are having a joyous reunion. May the Lord bring you all comfort at this time and may your memories keep your Mother close in your hearts forever.

Sweet blessings to Susan and all the family. As I read this obituary, I learned that Janice was a Pi Phi, which I am as well. I just remembered the song of grace that my college Pi Phi chapter sang at meals and I think it reflects Janice's heart. "For health, for food, for friendship tried and true we thank thee Lord. May we through bonds of wine and blue spread thy great love abroad. Amen." And Janice now sings it with the heavenly "Angels."
