Dear Spackman Family:

I have so many great memories of the Spackman family growing up. Dave was one of my brothers best friends, Mitch was my younger brothers best friend, and Brian was always a good friend of mine. My heart was saddened when I heard of your lost, especially when it comes so quickly and unexpectively. It is times like this that the Spirit will literally carry you. The Gospel and the knowledge of the Atonement is what helps you get up each and every morning knowing that he is in a better place and that you will soon see him again. I know a little of your pain. We lost our 9 year old son 7 years ago. This physical pain you are experiencing will ease, and you can be an even closer family then you are now if you all let it. The veil is even closer now and your perspectives are clearer. My best to you in this first, very hard year. Know that our prayers are with you.

Love, Annette Snow Sperry

My family is saddened by the passing of David. I am especially appreciative of the time spent this past year getting to know David and his family better with the family reunion they organized this past summer, and the Christmas party at Mitch's house.
