Ernest Martinez Obituary
Ernest B. Martinez born on August 20, 1933 went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2011 at the age of 77. Ernest served his country in the United States Air Force and reserves, he later worked at Kelly Air Field as a supervisor, and was in the Knights of Columbus 4th degree Knight. He is survived by his loving wife Hope Martinez, children Janet Segrest, Ernest Jr., Maria Isabel and James Martinez, step daughters Dolores Quinones, Evelyn Redman and Celia Huffaker, 2 sisters; Rosie Anguiano and Lupe Gomez and 2 brothers; Daniel B. and John B. Martinez, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church with a procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. For personal acknowledgement you may sign the guest book at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.
