William Markl Obituary

MARKL
William R. "Hippy" Markl, born May 15, 1946, passed away January 30, 2011. He honorably served his country in the Navy and led a distinguished career as an electric engineer. He obtained at Masters Degree at SWTS. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting with his beloved golden retrievers. Hippy always let everyone know where they stood with him. He was a true friend to many, and could always be counted on in good times and bad. Survived by his wife Mildred Markl, son Brian Schooman, daughter Melanie Christian, stepson David Schooman, sister Susan Mueller, brother Mike Markl (Dana) and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu or flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association. Visitation to be held Thursday, February 3 from 4 - 8 P.M. at Puente & Sons - Northeast at 14315 Judson Rd. Services to be held Friday, February 4 at 1:00 P.M. at Leon Springs Presbyterian Church at 23943 W HWY 10.

Bill was a unique guy. He was proud of going back to college, and Jim and I enjoyed visiting with him about that. We haven't seen him in a long while, but we would never forget him. Our sincerest condolences to his family.
