Francine Cartwright

Francine Cartwright, age 87, a resident of Schertz, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2012. She was born on February 24, 1924 to Robert Lee Cagle and Sylvia Pauline Burleson in Sadler, Texas. Francine loved gospel music and grew up playing the piano for churches all over Texas. As a teenager, she and her father lead the music at many revivals in west Texas. Francine was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Schertz Chapter #911. She was preceded in death by her former husband Cecil Eugene Cartwright, her father Robert Lee, and her mother Sylvia Pauline. She is survived by her sister Mary Keller of Pantego, Texas; son Tom Cartwright and wife Carolyn of Austin, Texas; son Phil Cartwright and wife Esther of Austin, Texas; daughter Debbie Dyer and husband Donnie of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas. Services will be conducted by Dr. David Ritsema and burial will be at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
