Adam Segura Obituary
Adam Segura, born January 28, 1988, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the age of 21. Adam was a native of San Antonio. He was a 2006 graduate of Highlands High School, a member of the Highlands Fighting Owl Band, the Future Farmers of America and a member of the National Honor Society. He was currently a student at Texas A & M in college Station. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10434, a member of the American Boer Goat Association-Certified Judge, a Certified Judge for Meat Goat Association and for the American Artificially Inseminating of Livestock. Survivors include his parents Paul Jr., and Imelda Segura, brother Paul Segura III, sister Antoinette Moreno, grandparents Raul and Annie Cervera and Mary Louise Segura and the late Pablo Segura, Sr., niece Nicole Moreno, Nephew Josiah E. Gonzales as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. In lieu of flowers, please make your donation to the Jr. American Boer Goat Association (JABGA), Adam Segura Memorial Scholarship Fund. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (El Carmen)and Friday, November 13, 2009 at 5:00 with a Vigil Service at 6:00 P.M. and rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Activity Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. also at El Carmen followed by interment in the El Carmen Cemetery. Adam may you rest in peace. We love & miss you so much. I hold in my heart so many special times and memories of you from the time you were born to the little stinker that you could be. You & I had a bond especially during the holidays when at times you would twirl me around when I asked you to dance with me or when I would call your cell phone & mess with you. Writing this hurts but it gives me relief to talk about and brag about you. You touched so many lives. We were so very, very sorry to hear about your loss. We didn't get to see Adam very often, but at all Boer goat shows or activities we always enjoyed visiting with him. He was a very sweet, kind and well mannered young man that always had a smile on his face! Its memories like that, that will always hold him dear to our hearts. I just wanted you to know what a blessing it always was to get an e-mail from Adam asking me my latest bloodlines, and what I had coming next. He was truly a bright, gifted goat genetics finatic.
