Rudolph Ramos Obituary
Rudolph G.Ramos born on January 6, 1947 in San Antonio, TX. went to be with our Lord on December 21, 2009 at the age of 62. He was the first male cosmetologist graduate at Edgewood High School; he was a master stylist at J.C. Penney for over 20 years; worked at Regis hair salon and owned Monique's Coiffures. He was featured in the Redbook Magazine as a stylist. Rudy was an honor to know and to know him was to love him. Every gesture came from the bottom of his heart with the best intentions for the recipient. He was a true joy to be around who lit up every room he entered. His loss will be immeasureable to all he knew and loved, especially his beloved daughter and grandsons. His "boys" will always know their "Popo Rudy "was the best. Mr. Ramos is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Edna Ramos. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Escalante; grandchildren, Rene Lozano and Juan Escalante, II; sisters, Eva Luna (Frank) Angie Garcia, Elizabeth Hart (Joe); brother, Roger Ramos, II (Elizabeth),Tia Tommie Pena; also, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Procession will depart from the funeral home at 8:30a.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 for a 9:00a.m. Mass of Christian of Burial at St. Jude's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2. Services under the direction of

I MISS YOU SO MUCH.. I MISS COMING TO WORK AND YOU BEING THE FIRST TO SAY "HEY MIJA"..IM SO USED TO COMING IN AND LOOKIN LEFT.. AND NOW I JUST LOOK STRAIGHT..TO MELISSA AND BOYS IM SORRY FOR YOUR LOST.. I KNOW HE WAS A VERY GOOD FATHER/GRANDPA.. WHEN I BECAME PREG. WITH MY SON RUDY ALWAYS CHECKED ON ME AND EVEN GOT ME SO MUCH STUFF FOR MY SHOWER AND WHEN I PUT MY SON IN THOSE OUTFITS IT JUST REMINDS ME OF THE GREAT STYLE HE HAD! Hi Everyone,
I want to thank each and every one of you for sharing your beautiful memories of my Dad.This has been a very hard time for the boys and I but the thoughts and prayers you have sent us have been a God-Send. We are honored to know that so many people thought so highly of my Dad/the boys PoPo Rudy. He is truly one of a kind and he will be missed dearly every day until I am fortunate enough to join him. Until then, thank you all for keeping him in your heart. Since my Dad wasn't able to celebrate his birthday on January 6 we are having a birthday party in his honor on January 16, 2010. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of sorrow. May memories in DVD and pictures i took will bring you comfort.
Rudy is such as a good friend. He always looked toward when i had difficult clients on updo's. His magic fingers and creative mind made it easy and beauty. I worked with him for 16yrs,but have not learned all his creations yet. We worked and helped each other when we were behind schedules. Rudy is always in my heart and i'll miss him. God bless you and your family.

Rudy has sadly been taken from us all way too early.Those of us whose lives he touched, will never be quite the same.The salon environment we shared with him for many years now seems empty-missing his happy and talented input-for stylists and clients alike.
For myself,I've lost a father/brother and very best friend figure,someone who guided and taught me,who every day made me laugh,and always made me see the positive.Having no family in the U.S,Rudy became one of my family.
There will never be another day that passes by,that I will not not think of him ,and miss him,and wish He were still with us........

My sincere condolances to the Ramos family. I just found out of his departure to be with the Lord and it saddens me, as I knew Rudy at school we had Cosmo together, he was a great person, and a joy be around. May God receive him in His Glory.

My condolences to the family. I too lost a loved one;my son. I sat down with Rudy and shared my feelings and he listened to me,and was there for me ;I cried for my son, but rudy comforted me. Rudy will be deeply missed- We even shared decorating ideas for my new house-he was quite a guy.We will miss him in the Salon.

My condolance to all rudys family.
I will truly miss him, especially on sundays, because he would always come to work with a sweet smile, and first thing he would say to me when we saw each other was "hi maricela".
I will dearly miss that about Rudy, and seeing him at his styling station. God bless, and be in peace.

Rudy will be missed not only by his clients but those of his coworkers. He was always at the chair next to our stylist, checking on our families and cutting up with us. Our sincerest sympathy to his family and friends from the Strosser family.
