Nelda Alvarado Obituary
Nelda A. Alvarado born October 7, 1963 went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2012 at the age of 48. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Socorro Ayala, sisters, Adela and Angie, and grandchild, Milanie. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years James Alvarado a US Navy Veteran, daughter, Brittany, sons, Marcus (Vanessa), Christopher (Amanda), Michael (Jessica), and John, sisters; Alma, Annie, Ida and Alice, brothers; Frankie, Fred, and Tony, grandchildren, Jordan and Jaiden, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation
Visitation will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 from 5PM to 8:30PM at Holy Name Catholic Church with the rosary to be recited at 7PM.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Holy Name Catholic Church, interment to follow in Mission Burial Park South. For personal acknowledgement you may sign the guest book at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section.

It was with great sorrow that I learned about Nelda's passing. My heart and prayers go out to the Alvarado family. She was a wonderful soul who lite up all and everything around her. Think of her when you see a bright star in the sky at night, for it is surely her spirit and love shining down upon us all. May God be with you all and provide you comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain but rather watching over you. She shall always be in your hearts, souls and fond memories. James i never had the pleasure of meeting your wife, but the posts she put on face book about you I could tell she truly loved you and your children. She was lucky woman to have met you. My deepest condolences go to the Alvarado and Ayala family. I met Nelda over 30 years ago and I have very fond memories of our teenage years together... having sleep overs, going skating on Sundays, wearing matching clothing, borrowing each other's clothing, getting into a little bit of trouble but mostly laughing and more laughing. Laughing with each other and, we would laugh at each other too. She was there for me and I was there for her. Even though she has passed, I can feel her walking next to me like she did when we used to walk with each other to school. I had a ride, but as soon as I got to school, I would walk to Nelda's house and walk back to school with her. After high school I lost her for too many years and I was so elated to find her again, thanks to Face Book. It was wonderful to hug her again and talk with her, but mostly laugh with her again...just like when we were teenagers. I thank God that I had that opportunity to see her and hug her and love her before she left this earth and I had to endure losing her again.
